You don't need more pressure. You need roots.
Verdan is Christ-centered formation for men who carry real responsibility. It builds the emotional maturity, spiritual rhythms, and follow-through to lead your family, your work, and your calling without losing your soul along the way.
Led by Justin Godwin. Ten years a pastor, then years leading sales teams, and still doing the work himself.
He's capable. He carries real responsibility: a team, a family, a ministry, a quota. People depend on him, and he mostly delivers.
Inside, it's a different story. Spiritually dry and vaguely guilty about it. Emotionally underdeveloped in ways his wife could name faster than he could. Running on hurry, performance, and the quiet fear that if he slowed down, something would catch up with him.
Not lazy. Unformed. Not broken. Under-built.
The short fuse. The scrolling. The distance at home. The faith that's all vocabulary and no life. None of it is random. Your symptoms are trying to tell you something.
Every pattern has something under it. Usually something you've never said out loud. That's the layer we work at.
You are formed on purpose or deformed by default. Formation is apprenticeship, and the master is Jesus. Done honestly, it produces fruit your family and your work can live on.
Five areas of your life, about five minutes. You'll know where you stand and what to work on first.
Something just gave way. A marriage, a job, a failure that's now out in the open.
Running on empty, a little more every month. You may not know what's wrong, only that something is.
You know what's wrong. You're fighting the same battles on repeat.
You grew once, then quietly stopped. From the outside you look finished. You know you're not.
Growing, and you know it. Ready to go deeper.
Healthy, functioning well, and sensing a larger call.
A guided path. Twelve weeks of honest conversation, real tools, and rhythms built for your actual life.
This work draws on the long tradition of Christian formation: unhurried rhythms, a rule of life, and emotional health growing alongside spiritual maturity. Brought down to ground level for men who carry a quota, a family, or a ministry.
“Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD… He is like a tree planted by water, that sends out its roots by the stream, and does not fear when heat comes… it does not cease to bear fruit.” Jeremiah 17:7–8
“I know that man from the inside, because I've been him.”
Justin Godwin spent ten years as a pastor. He has taught in public schools and built sales organizations. In all three worlds he kept meeting the same man: capable on the outside, fragmented inside.
Verdan is Christ-centered formation coaching built for that man: emotional maturity, spiritual rhythms, and practical leadership, twelve weeks at a time.

1:1 formation coaching · one engagement, start to finish
Start with the assessment or a discovery call. If this isn't the right work for you, Justin will tell you.
The first three men get the full program at $1,800, or three payments of $650, in exchange for honest feedback and a testimonial if the work earns one.
Yes, openly. Verdan is Christ-centered coaching. We'll talk about Jesus, Scripture, prayer, and what your faith has to do with the man you're becoming. You don't need a polished spiritual life to start. Most men come in dry. You do need to be open to God being part of the work, because in this room, He is.
No. And if I think therapy is what you need, I'll tell you plainly. Coaching works on formation: patterns, rhythms, decisions, growth. Therapy treats clinical wounds. Some men need both; they're not rivals.
No. It's twelve weeks of 1:1, structured, honest work with a guide. You get a clear path, weekly action, and a plan you leave with. Your church should still be your church.
When I planted blueberry bushes, my uncle told me to pluck off every blossom for the first two years. It felt backward. The blossoms were the whole reason I planted them. But a bush that isn't spending itself on early fruit sends its roots deeper, and the fruit that comes later is greater for it. That's the work here. Roots first.
The assessment takes five minutes. Being honest with it is the hard part. Start there.
A letter every other week about formation, written to one man at a time. Hurry, prayer, anger, marriage, work. What apprenticeship to Jesus looks like on a Tuesday.
